Air Purification | Whole-House Air Filtration
We’re Here to Clear the Air. Yours, That Is.
The better insulated your home, the more likely it is to trap and breed air pollutants. Kind of ironic, don’t you think, especially with so much emphasis on energy conservation?
Well, conserving energy IS a good thing, but not at the expense of proper ventilation. Without it, the quality of your indoor air can become compromised and thus cause or aggravate problems with allergies, asthma, and other upper respiratory ailments.
How about you and your loved ones? Do you feel like you’re constantly struggling with a cold you just can’t seem to shake? If so, chances are it’s not a cold at all, but indoor air pollution that’s making you feel miserable inside your own home.
Well, in addition to our professional duct cleaning service, there’s more Furnace Doctors can do to remove virtually all indoor air pollutants so you and your family can start feeling better in a hurry.
Here are a few of our means to that end:
Ultraviolet (UV) Lamps
UV lamps work 24/7 to silently destroy pollutants like viruses, bacteria, allergens, and molds that are airborne or growing on HVAC surfaces (cooling coils, drain pans, and air ducts among them). AC systems are particularly moist environments where such pollutants tend to thrive.
Air Filtration System
Central air filtration systems offer a number of advantages. They are out of sight (integrated into your home heating system, usually by the furnace), very convenient (you’ll never trip over one), and they are whisper quiet.
A central air filtration system filters the air as it cycles through the air ducts into the furnace. Over time, all the air in the house will pass through the system, and it will be cleaned and filtered each time.
A true HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter is also known as an absolute air filter because of its high rate of efficiency. True HEPA filters operate with a minimum efficiency of 99.97 percent, and it doesn’t get any more thorough than that.
MERV filters offer you hospital quality air filtration. MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) is a number from 1 to 16 that is relative to an air filter’s efficiency. The higher the MERV, the more efficient the air filter at removing particles.
